Jon Santacoloma is one of the new generation of Basque designers who entered the profession at a time when the city of Bilbao was undergoing an architectural makeover. In 2002, he founded his Studio Ideilan Design, with which he works for well-known companies. Kanpazar B, which Santacoloma developed for the Spanish luminaire manufacturer B.Lux, was his first step into the world of luminaire design and was immediately very successful. It is now considered an Ikon among outdoor lights and this design has won numerous awards at both national and international level.
