Mercer pendant light with hand-blown glass shade and cotton textile diffuser Depending on the size selected, one or two E27 bulbs, which are available separately as accessories, can be used with the Mercer pendant light. The light is slightly diffused from the side by the cotton textile insert embedded in the glass. The glass cylinder itself is mouth-blown and is open at the bottom. Mercer is supported by three steel cables, which are attached to the canopy and in the centre of which runs the connecting cable, which is sheathed in textile. Despite its considerable size, this glass pendant luminaire appears delicate and conveys a feeling of weightlessness. This was precisely the aim of award-winning industrial designer Joan Gaspar, who designed the Mercer series in collaboration with Javier M. Borrás back in 2005. The materials used and their arrangement in particular were intended to give a comparatively simple design that certain something. - the 44 cm diameter version includes a separate white diffuser, which is suspended below the bulb and prevents a downward glare effect
