About Fontana Arte
Fontana Arte was founded in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Gio Ponti and was the first Italian company to establish itself in interior design and is therefore considered one of the most important companies in the development of the Italian living landscape of early modernism.
In the 1950s, Fontana Arte modernized its manufacturing processes and turned to industrial production - without, however, abandoning the valuable, handcrafted component. In the eighties, the company finally advanced into the circle of the international design scene. The fact that Fontana Arte has always moved with the times despite its long history is demonstrated by the fact that the company has been part of an international group in the home automation sector, Nice S.p.A., since 2010. Fontana Arte is still innovative today.
