From 1987 to the present day, OLIGO has made a name for itself as a creative lighting designer and high-quality manufacturer. The company, which now has several hundred employees and is based in Sankt Augustin, Germany, manufactures home lighting and various lighting solutions for stores and commercial buildings.
The sister company "ROL Lichttechnik GmbH" (architectural lighting) is also located in Sankt Augustin and another sister company called "Oligo surface controls" (automotive sector) in Lenzen. All three together form the "OLIGO group" of companies.

At the heart of each of the multiple award-winning individual luminaires and track systems is the modern technology and excellent manufacturing quality that ensure customers enjoy their OLIGO luminaires for many years to come. With two production facilities, OLIGO is able to offer handcrafted excellence in series production. Continuous quality assurance ensures that the high quality standards can be maintained in the long term.
OLIGO luminaires bear the "Made in Germany" seal, which has also recently become a seal of quality on an international scale. All steps from design and development to production are carried out entirely in Germany.

Some modern classics from the OLIGO range
The brand name OLIGO is derived from the Greek oligós, which means "little". The timelessness of OLIGO's luminaire designs, which makes the products so popular, is derived from this word. This is because the timeless, simple designs impress in numerous furnishing styles with their lightness and minimalist simplicity. The focus of the design is always on impressive light output that meets the highest demands.
A delicate, high-quality light source and a unique room accessory, especially when used in groups - that's the Rio pendant light. It accentuates kitchen worktops or islands of light in the living room, for example, without the design becoming too prominent. At the same time, the luminaire stands out and inspires precisely because of its minimalist design.
The pendant light has permanently installed LED lighting technology that shines in a cozy warm white - perfect for cosy areas.

The KUULA table lamp is a combination of Scandinavian charm and German design history. While the elegant, minimalist design corresponds to the uncomplicated coziness of the Scandinavian furnishing style, the luminaire is also focused on the essentials and functionality. And this is clearly in line with the German Bauhaus philosophy. The innovative "globe light" was designed by Uli Budde and, in addition to its timeless design, includes sophisticated lighting technology. This is because the plano-convex glass lens in the housing diffuses the light onto the opalized part of the mouth-blown glass head. The result is harmonious lighting without any glare. In addition, the light can be dimmed continuously and easily using the light stick on the side. A generous three-meter cable allows the table lamp to be positioned even in complicated room and furniture situations.
