When should you start decorating for Christmas?
There’s no hard and fast rule as to when you should and shouldn’t start decorating for Christmas.
Typically, most people start in late-November/early-December and take them down before twelfth night, which is 6th January.
What are the advantages of LED indoor Christmas decorations?
For indoor Christmas decorations, the advantages of LEDs are both practical and decorative:
Unlimited designs: LEDs are small, allowing Christmas lights, wreaths, candles, artificial trees and fairy lights to shine in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Cost-effective: LEDs have a long life span, so you can enjoy your Christmas decorations for years to come.
Energy-saving: LEDs are eco-friendly as they use less energy and can save you up to 90% on electricity bills compared to incandescent bulbs.
Wirelessly happy: LEDs are so economical they can run on battery power for long periods without any problems.
Colourful light: With colour-changing lights available, LEDs guarantee your Christmas will be bright AND colourful.
Is it possible to convert indoor Christmas decorations to LED?
If your much-loved Christmas decorations have replaceable bulbs, it’s likely there’ll be an LED alternative available. One example is our paper Christmas star, which has a socket for an E14 bulb inside.
So, instead of buying another E14 halogen bulb, you can replace it with an E14 LED bulb.
LED lamps can be screwed into Christmas decorations, like this Christmas star light with an E14 socket.
If the bulb is visible within the decoration, we recommend LED filament bulbs which look like incandescent bulbs.
Where can I get replacement bulbs for my Christmas lighting?
You know the story.
You get your Christmas decorations out, remembering how wonderful your home looked last year, only to find your fairy lights don’t work when you plug them in.
Not to worry, all you need are replacement bulbs.
Our tip is to gradually convert to LED.
Why?
Because they last longer and, as they’re energy-saving, they’ll save you money on electricity too.
