Wall lights are known for creating a pleasant atmosphere and lighting mood thanks to the indirect light they provide. This positive effect of wall luminaires can be exploited not only in the area of home lighting, but also when it comes to atmospheric and standard-compliant lighting for offices and business premises. Thanks to their appearance and lighting effect, office wall luminaires can be used to personalize and enhance rooms and possibly highlight exhibits for business partners and customers and present them in the right light.
Office lighting in Germany is subject to certain regulations (EN 12464 "Lighting of indoor workplaces") with regard to illuminance and therefore the equipment with different office luminaires. The general lighting, which would also include the office wall luminaires, must achieve an illuminance of 500 lux. To achieve this, ceiling lights can be used in combination with wall lights, for example. The illuminance of 500 lux must be supplemented by another 200-300 lux at each individual VDU workstation. This task is usually performed by special task lights or desk lamps. For all types of luminaires in the office, they must generate sufficient brightness but must not dazzle under any circumstances.
In contrast to wall lights that are used for the living room or hallway at home, office wall lights usually have a simpler and somewhat cooler look. This radiates a special professionalism and seriousness. The large selection of wall lights for offices and business premises makes it easy for interior designers to find the right light for every office.
