Luminaires fulfill their purpose when they provide their users with light to carry out the tasks that they could not do without light in the dark. This is one side of the functionality of luminaires. The other is the one that ensures that you feel comfortable, relaxed and have an all-round good feeling. Decorative lights are responsible for this side. They provide light that sets the mood - whether cozy and romantic or cool and trendy. Decorative lights are available in different designs and for every occasion, so you can find atmospheric outdoor lighting for a garden party as well as festive Christmas tree lighting for the Advent season.
Winter, and the Christmas season in particular, is the peak season for decorative lights. The short days and long nights can be sweetened a little with the small additional light sources. During the Christmas season, fairy lights and fairy lights are particularly popular, as are illuminated figures for the garden. Other decorative lamps such as lava lamps - the cult object from the 70s - or salt crystal lamps can be used all year round. Glow sticks, party light chains and LED strips create the right atmosphere at any party. Normal table lamps can also be confidently categorized as decorative lamps, as their task is not just to provide purely functional light. In fact, a well-placed table lamp also creates the right ambience in a room.
While LEDs are becoming increasingly popular in ceiling, floor and pendant luminaires, the small light-emitting diodes are also finding their way into decorative lighting. They are ideal for small decorative lights and fairy lights, not only because of their low power consumption, but also because of their practical dimensions - LEDs are particularly small.
