Basic lighting is simply indispensable in every room. And so easy to realize with ceiling lights. In a wide variety of shapes, colors, sizes, designs, materials and, of course, with modern LED technology, there is almost no better way to provide stylish basic lighting within your four walls. Want to make your ceiling lights even more homely and cozy than they already are? Then simply opt for textile ceiling lights.
It's quite simple. Because....
Naturally. Textile ceiling lights also have E27, E14 and sometimes G9 sockets.** In addition to incandescent lamps and halogen lamps, LED lamps with standardized bases can also be screwed into these standardized sockets.
How? But you don't actually want to need to replace any bulbs? Not even with your new textile ceiling light? Also not an issue. Nowadays, many ceiling lights with fabric shades already have built-in LEDs, so it's time to say goodbye to buying bulbs. Enjoy the most beautiful light without ever having to replace the bulb.
Round, square or even rectangular These are the preferred shapes in which textile ceiling lights are best presented within your four walls. A very popular variant at the moment: circular fabric shade lights with several interlocking, but differently sized textile rings. Or several circular luminaires with a relatively small diameter, which are connected at the top of the ceiling by a ceiling beam.
With regard to the fabric shade, there are the classic white, gray or cream-colored ones. But there are also black, brown, green, orange, red, etc. Or even printed. With openings in various shapes - for fascinating light effects in the room - or with fascinating details in other materials such as crystal, metal or wood elements.
In the living\ and bedroom: The textile ceiling light forms a real dream team with these! This is because the light from the fabric ceiling light is gently dimmed and glare-free in the room. Perfect for making yourself comfortable. Not only the light, but also the fabric shade itself radiates coziness, comfort and atmosphere.
In corridor and hallway: Also there, of course, possible, if you want to have it a little more cozy there. However, you should make sure that the brightness is still sufficient for finding keys and putting on shoes.
In the kitchen: Rather unsuitable, as kitchen odors from cooking can settle in the fabric shade. In addition, the surface suffers from the accumulation of grease and dirt. And who wants to be able to see what they have baked and cooked in the last few months from the shade of their ceiling light? It is better to use ceiling lights without textile shades or, for example, recessed spotlights or ceiling spotlights and spots.
In the dining room: in principle possible there too, but mainly for the realization of general lighting. A place lighting, e.g. to put the dining table in the spotlight, is not really possible. Due to the high position in the room, the light is too undirected for this. Here pendant lights are simply the better choice. And of course they are also available with a cozy-looking fabric shade.
Well, it all depends on which version of a textile ceiling light you choose.
Option 1: You have selected a ceiling lamp with fixed LEDs.
Then it always depends on the particular product whether it is dimmable. You can see whether this is the case in the product details. What you then usually need is a suitable external dimmer.
Option 2: You have selected a ceiling lamp with replaceable light sources.
Then they can also only be dimmed if they are connected to a suitable external dimmer. If you have this, you can use any light source with halogen or incandescent lamps. Because every halogen or incandescent lamp is also dimmable! Oh, halogen lamps! Wouldn't I want to use it at all, you think? Very good idea! Because of course you can also screw LED lamps into your ceiling light. But then please make sure that the product details state that the LED lamps are also dimmable.
Option 3: You have selected a textile ceiling light with Easy-Dim function.
Then you don't have to worry about anything other than actually getting your ceiling light onto the ceiling. This is because the light sources are already included with these lights and are simply dimmed using the wall switch.
