Are there any wooden LED floor lamps available?

Of course! LED is the future of lighting technology and it’s gradually becoming the status quo. Traditional light bulbs and halogen bulbs do still exist, but not for much longer – they’re simply not good for the environment or for our wallets. It’s a different story with LED bulbs:

  • They have a life of up to 50,000 hours – and you don’t have to worry about replacing them regularly

  • They save 90% electricity compared to traditional light bulbs and 60% compared to halogen bulbs

  • Unlike compact fluorescent lamps, they do not contain toxic substances such as mercury

  • After being switched on, they immediately provide 100% lighting

  • Countless designs are possible thanks to their compact size

What’s more, you still have a choice between wooden floor lamps with built-in LED technology and those with replaceable LED bulbs. You can easily fit a modern LED bulb into your existing traditional floor lamp, too (so-called retrofit). Simply choose the best model for you.

Are wooden floor lamps dimmable?

This varies from product to product, so it ultimately depends on the light you select.

If you’re looking for a floor lamp with dimming capabilities, simply make sure that it says “Dimmer - Included” or “Dimmer - With touch dimmer” in the product details section. If the light is fitted with built-in LED bulbs, you can dim the light immediately. However, if the bulbs in your wooden floor lamp are replaceable, you’ll need to fit a dimmable LED bulb before you can dim your new light source.
