The fact that LEDs are far superior to all other lighting technologies in terms of energy efficiency, durability and individual, versatile light needs no further explanation. This is no different for wall lights. LED wall lamps are the first choice for modern interiors, classic furnishing styles or the Scandi style - the choice is huge.
Numerous world-famous designers have also taken on the wall light and present creative highlights. LED lighting technology helps them to do this. "LED technology has opened up many avenues. The concept, the very small circuit and the compact light source have created enormous freedom"_, says Gigi Ranica , founder and designer of Knikerboker. LED technology allows shapes that have never existed before. And they stand out, because wall lamps are always at eye level.
Note: At Lampenwelt.de, we sell both wall lights with permanently installed LED lighting technology and wall lights that are equipped with a socket, but for which we supply an LED light source directly. If you are unsure, you will find the relevant information on the energy efficiency label, which you can call up for each item.
And yes, you've got it exactly right: you can turn a wall light with a socket into an LED light in no time at all and enjoy all the benefits. Simply select the appropriate LED light source.
There is a huge selection of styles and shapes to choose from. What's more, any normal wall light (with replaceable light sources) can be turned into an LED wall light: simply add the right LED light source.
Models made of chrome or plaster are very modern. A round wall lamp made of opal glass is also timelessly beautiful. Brass lights, for example, are a classic choice. Classic models with pull switches that you can turn on and off in style are also very tasteful.
In narrow corridors, very flat models are the best option. These are perhaps less eye-catching, but provide enough light for tying shoes and checking styles. The restrictions disappear in larger corridors. Expansive models can also be used here.
Models with chrome and glass are very modern. Models in the form of a candle holder with or without a shade around the light source are classically stylish. It becomes very classy with crystal. Modern and classic LED wall lights are lighting and eye-catchers at the same time!
LED wall lights are a great alternative to the classic bedside lamp. Today, a reading and orientation light is installed above the bedside table, particularly in the form of wall spotlights.
The models should be swivel-mounted so that it's not a problem if you move a little higher up in bed to read the daily newspaper or almost disappear under the comforter with your novel. Very convenient: a switch directly on the light. No wall connection directly to the bed? Then wall lamps with a cable for the socket are the solution!
Before other people get to see you, you go to the bathroom first thing in the morning. You stand in front of the mirror, scratch the sleep out of your eyes, shave or apply make-up, wash and style yourself - until you finally say to yourself: "Okay, I can go out with people like this!" So it's good if the lighting in the bathroom comes close to the lighting conditions in daylight. In addition to decent brightness, this also requires good color rendering.
Wall lights are mainly used in the bathroom in the form of mirror lighting. And because LED lighting technology offers so many more possibilities (in addition to being economical), especially with smart home technology, LED wall lamps are increasingly replacing classic fluorescent lamps and the like.
Important: The installation of lights in the bathroom should be carried out by a specialist, even with LED wall lights. Especially in this room, as the luminaire sometimes has more, sometimes less contact with moisture. For this reason, special safety regulations apply to lights in the bathroom. The bathroom is divided into protection areas, which cover other aspects such as the operating voltage in addition to the protection rating of a luminaire.

We live in an age of smart home systems. Today, lights are part of the networked home. Today you can switch your wall light in the hallway on and off from the other side of the world (Why should you do this? Well, maybe because you forgot to turn it off before your vacation. Or because you want to switch it on as a presence simulation).
However, this can only work with LED lighting technology. This is because it offers photometric possibilities that far surpass other light source technologies. Here is an excerpt of the functions you can look forward to with LED wall lights (and other lights) today:
A little tip: The PHILIPS Hue smart home system offers really extensive functions. With the lamps and luminaires of this established system, you can experience all the functions mentioned here for yourself (depending on the product). If you don't want to network your whole house straight away, you can start with iDual, for example. And if you have nothing to do with smart homes but still want to enjoy dimmable LED technology without a dimmer, take a closer look at EasyDim products.
The most important note first: For safety reasons, electrical installations may only be carried out by specialists in compliance with the safety regulations!
Each lamp from Lampenwelt comes with installation instructions and safety information. What you can do in advance is to check the contents of the packaging for completeness and, if necessary, for any damage. Check for damage. Also select the installation location.
Your specialist will then proceed as follows: He will make sure that no concealed electrical wiring, e.g. in the wall, is damaged. The circuit breaker (fuse) is then switched off and secured against being switched on again. The absence of voltage is then checked and determined with a multimeter on all poles and all sides. The cables are inserted and professionally stripped. The protective earth conductor (PE), neutral conductor (N) and phase conductor (L) are connected to the terminal and checked for tight fit. The luminaire can now be fully assembled and the light sources (if not permanently installed) can be inserted. The final step is to check the tight fit of the light. The circuit breaker (fuse) can then be switched on again. This is followed by a function test.
