Sixties style: the Dalù retro table lamp in a re-edition from 2005
One glance at the Dalù table lamp and it is obvious that its design is in keeping with the typical style of the sixties. Made entirely of plastic and spherical in shape, it is the prototype of the 1960s light. Its original design also dates from this time. In 2005, Artemide, the designer lighting manufacturer for which Vico Magistretti designed this model, decided to launch a re-edition. This new edition has lost none of its retro charm.
During his lifetime, the designer, architect and city planner Vico Magistretti worked for the Italian company Artemide, amongst others. Artemide is one of the world's most famous designer lighting manufacturers. Its own production facilities, the glass factories and its own innovation and research centre, as well as the well-known national and international designers, form the basis for the success of the Artemide lights.
