Coloured lacquered Decomposé floor lamp - a highlight of modern design art No matter where this floor lamp is placed, whether in the living room in the seating area or as an inviting light source in the hallway, Decomposé is an eye-catcher both when switched off and when illuminated. Das is partly due to its unusual Form. Here, a simple aluminium tube has been cut into rings at the upper end so that it looks like a roll of streamers in disintegration. This is also reflected in the name Decomposé. Decomposé comes from the French and means "decomposition" in German. When the light is switched on, it creates a very effective lighting atmosphere with shadows forming in the surroundings. Decomposé - a designer piece from Atelier Oï in Switzerland - is produced by the Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide. Atelier Oï was founded in 1991 by Armand Louise, Patrick Reymond and Aurel Aebi. They take a very experimental approach to their work and tend to follow the motto "Form follows material", as the material for their work is their first interest, from which the designs then develop - made in Italy
