Discovery Vertical is a unique light fitting that completely changes its appearance when the light source is turned on. The light has a very minimalist design, consisting of a delicate aluminium ring and a perfectly transparent PMMA diffuser. Its appearance does not intrude upon the ambience. The light is shown to advantage when it is switched on, as the LEDs that are built into the ring light up the surface of the diffuser and shine softly into the room. The warm white light is evenly distributed and is perfect for task lighting. You can use a separate push button to dim the hanging light.

The design was created by Artemide founder Ernesto Gismondi, who established the Italian lighting manufacturer in 1960. Artemide’s aim is to explore materials, technology and socio-cultural aspects and then to harmoniously bring these together in incomparable lights. The big vision is to use light to have a positive impact on people’s lives.
