Decorative Meteorite table lamp from Artemide with base

The Meteorite table lamp – a design by the designer brothers Pio & Tito Toso – impresses with the special character of its light. It is the result of a special traditional Venetian production process, whereby the glass is dipped in acid and then processed with sand.

The two designers, who set up their own studio shortly after studying architecture, come from Venice, and used their knowledge of this traditional manufacturing technique to their advantage when developing Meteorite. The name Meteorite derives from the visual similarity to the astronomical bodies of the same name, which is created due to the glass structure and the glass shape.
