Tolomeo Mega LED - a classic among the floor lamps
In the 1980s, the idea for the today still popular and extraordinarily modern looking lamp series Tolomeo was born. All luminaires of this series are based on a special mechanism that allows the arms to be adjusted as desired, while the luminaire still remains balanced. Nowadays, the classic lamp from 1987 is equipped with modern LEDs and convinces besides the timeless and functional design with modern and efficient LED technology.
The floor lamp Tolomeo Mega LED has, in addition to the convenience of great flexibility, also a cord dimmer with which you can regulate the brightness of the powerful LEDs. The shade made of parchment paper guarantees a cosy light and glare-free light.
The two designers Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina created a timeless design classic at that time. Initially, De Lucchi wanted to design a lamp for his own desk. He had seen a mechanism among fishermen in Apulia, which now served him as inspiration for the shape of the desk lamp. Fassina was the one who transformed de Lucchi's ideas into a luminaire suitable for everyday use.
