Reef - dimmable LED beam pendant luminaire with shades made of ceramic foam Soft and gentle, the warm white light illuminates the four shades of the Reef beam pendant luminaire from the inside and makes the unusual surface structure of the shades visible. Now you can see them, the heights and depths of this sponge-like structure, which could not be better staged by the incident light. But what is this special material that gives the Reef pendant luminaire such an extravagant appearance with its interesting texture? In order to achieve a special effect in the lighting, so to speak, the choice of shade material fell on ceramic foam - a material whose cell-like structure lends it its unmistakable character and which is virtually predestined to be used for the creation of unique works of art in lighting. The light must laboriously make its way from the inside of the shade through the many coral-like branches to the outside, only to be scattered into the surroundings in an extremely effective manner. Nevertheless, brightness is by no means neglected here. The diffuse light diffused by the ceramic foam is complemented by direct light directed downwards. The brushed aluminium frame, to which the shades are attached at regular intervals, does not get in the way of the appearance of the ceramic foam shades at all, but on the contrary discreetly emphasises their elegance. And what appears fragile at first glance turns out to be very robust. The shades are attached to the aluminium frame via bayonet catches and can be removed in a few simple steps and even cleaned in the dishwasher. Reef's brightness control is realised via an external wall dimmer, which can be either a phase-on or phase-off dimmer. Reef is a light source on a very high technical level, but its real highlight is and remains the unusual structure of the four shades and the unprecedented lighting effect that comes with it.
