Chlorophilia 2 LED hanging light, app-controllable

Floral inspired LED pendant lamp Chlorophilia 2, controllable via Artemide app.

Chlorophilia 2 creates a light, almost floating impression of the individual elements made of plastic (PMMA), which with their organic shape look like leaves floating from a tree, acting as a lens. Their central, hanging luminous body emits light indirectly: it is refracted and filtered by the surface of the three transparent elements. The partial overlapping of the elements creates an impressive play of light and shadow with effective markings on the ceiling. The luminaire can be paired with and controlled via the free Artemide app. Up to 500 individual devices can be controlled via the app, and it is also possible to change the light in real time or through preset scenarios.

This feather-light luminaire structure was designed by Ross Lovegrove, who conceived Chlorophilia 2 for the renowned Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide. Lovegrove draws inspiration from nature in his creations, combining technology, material science and an intelligent organic form.

Artemide distributes its high-quality design products around the world from its Italian headquarters near Milan. Many of its lights have won awards (e.g. Eclisse, Tolomeo, Pipe) and are now considered icons of contemporary design.
