Pure design with sophisticated functionality
The small wall lamp from the Demetra light series by Artemide stands out thanks to its elegant and minimalist design. At only 13 cm in diameter, the Demetra Spotlight LED wall light fits in everywhere. Its streamlined head, which houses a highly-efficient and dimmable LED, can also be rotated and swivelled freely. Both a power switch and dimmer switch are located on the top of the head for intuitive and easy operation. The LED’s warm white light also creates a comfortable ambience.
This award-winning design comes from Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. He designed the Demetra light series, which has won numerous design awards, in 2013. His creations and designs are always simple on a superficial level, yet perfectly adapted to the user. Fukasawa is less concerned with reinventing form, but prefers to look at the context of use and incorporate this into the creation process. And, as the Demetra light series shows, this approach has been a great success.
