The entire Flauta collection is inspired by the pure shapes of organs and flutes, which is clearly reflected in this light. The cylindrical body of Flauta Riga blends unobtrusively into the modern living environment and is particularly suitable for the hallway area thanks to its slender shape and upward and downward light emission. It provides asymmetrical light distribution and scatters the light onto the wall like gentle cones. A small, circular reflector, which captures the emitted light and emits it again, creates a special lighting effect that realises the choice between direct and indirect light. The indirect upward lighting creates an appealing cone of light on the wall and does not dazzle, whereas the direction of light downwards can be individually influenced by the flexibly mountable deflector. The designer of this luminaire series - Patricia Urquiola - comes from Spain and, with the Flauta collection, has set herself the task of creating a versatile product that is equally suitable for public and private areas and, depending on the design, can provide exciting light both indoors and outdoors.
