Expansive pendant lamp Grass L with handmade shade from natural materials

The Grass L pendant lamp catches the eye with its expansive, rounded shade and can be wonderfully used to illuminate the living room or dining room table. The shade is composed of superimposed strips, which are designed in different warm shades. It was made of rattan and abacá, a plant species from East Asia, which is used, for example, for the production of ship ropes. The pendant lamp brings an attractive, natural touch to the living area and creates a cozy atmosphere. In the center of the inside of the shade is placed the bulb holder. This is surrounded by a separate diffuser and ensures that the light is emitted to the environment without glare.

With the Grass series of lamps, product designer Jette Scheib wanted to express the tranquility that lies in the traditional weaving process. The natural materials, colors and design reflect the landscape and fields where the materials for the basketry are grown. The production of Grass took over the renowned French company Forestier.
