Forestier Nebulis wall light made from natural silk fleece

Wall lamp Nebulis in the shape of a cloud made of raw silk fleeceIn the shape, the wall lamp Nebulis was modeled on a lenticularis cloud. It is a design by French designer Élise Fouin, who was inspired to create this collection of lights when she saw the way silk threads are made at Sericyne, a French manufacturer of silk fleece. Silkworms are carefully placed on a support onto which they spin their silk threads. From this, a silk fleece is created, which is characterized by its special texture with different thicknesses. By hand, this fleece was formed into the special shape resembling a cloud, creating a wall lamp with a fragrant and light appearance and a breathtaking lighting effect. Lively, soft and warm, the light shines through the fibers and you could almost think that the cloud is moving.Trained at the Ecole Boulle in Paris, designer Élise Fouin creates spectacular furnishings and lighting, most of which stand out for their use of unusual materials.
