Indirect room lighting - Foscarini Aplomb wall light The cone-shaped Aplomb wall light is made of concrete and is cast in liquid form from a special mixture mixed with colour pigments. The otherwise grey nature of concrete is cleverly reinterpreted here with colours, making the leap from the world of construction, where the material is otherwise used, to its use as a decorative light. As the material would otherwise completely shield the light, the Form of the Aplomb wall light is designed so that there is a very wide opening at the top and a narrower one at the bottom. The upper side provides a sufficiently bright light, which is reflected by the wall and the ceiling. The light from the narrow opening at the bottom forms a sophisticated cone of light that creates a decorative effect. The design of the impressive Aplomb luminaire series comes from the Milanese designers Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere, who have developed several luminaire collections for the manufacturer Foscarini. The Aplomb model skilfully combines elements of architecture and design.
