The impressive table lamp Buds 2 is a special designer piece, which was already created for Foscarini in the 1990s by the Italian designer Rodolfo Dordoni. Today, reworked and reinterpreted in line with current trends, the Buds series is convincing across the board. Whether table or pendant lamp, the outstanding feature is the special glass and the associated diffuse lighting effect.

When switched off, the bulbous glass diffuser appears cool. The shiny five-layer glass is produced using the so-called Incamiciato technique, where frosted glass is overlaid with a layer of coloured, transparent glass. In the case of the design luminaire Buds 2, there are a total of five mouth-blown layers, which are also wonderfully visible as a cross-section at the opening of the shade. When light is switched on, the Foscarini table lamp Buds 2 radiates a pleasant warm glow through the different coloured layers, the coolness has completely disappeared. This special feature makes this designer lamp a unique object, which not only gives diffuse light, but can also be placed as an elegant and stylish design object in any living room. The transparent base underlines the clarity of the design language.
