Square wall lamp Folio made of white blown glassThe shape of the wall lamp Folio is intended to resemble a thin sheet of paper, the corners of which are slightly bent, giving a slight dynamic. The two-dimensional appearance of the wall lamp is thus given more volume. Due to its restrained design and subtle color scheme, Folio can be used quite flexibly in the living area and, for example, as a light source in the living or dining room as well as in the hallway. The diffuser is made of hand-blown glass, the wall mount and the bulb holder were made of painted metal. The diffuser can be attached to the wall mount with two small screws that are visible on the outside. The light is reflected from the inside of the diffuser and emits pleasant diffused light to the surroundings.Folio was designed by Carlo Urbinati and Alessandro Vecchiato. The two Italians initially worked as designers for the renowned company and developed the wall lamp in the first years of Foscarini's existence. Folio was meant to be a tribute to the simplicity and beauty of small, discreet things. In addition, the ancient culture of glass blowing was reinterpreted in a contemporary design. Since 1988, Urbinati and Vecchiato are responsible for the development of the lighting manufacturer and its products.
