A decade after Foscarini was founded in 1981, the range of light fixtures from the Italian lighting house was extended by the series Lumiere. At that time in the early 1990s, the aim was to reinterpret the classic table light in an elegant and stylish way, typical of Foscarini. Over the years, the product range has been gradually expanded and in 2015 Rodolfo Dordoni was inspired by the first Lumiere to design a suitable floor lamp. Today, the entire Lumiere collection is one of the most famous of the Foscarinis.

Lumiere XXL was created - an illuminating object that stands out due to the combination of the high-quality materials aluminium and glass. The new interpretation of the original is more modern and contemporary in form and colour. This variant is complemented by handblown, transparent glass in fine white and brushed aluminium. Thanks to its expressive but not intrusive presence, the new Lumiere XXL is particularly suitable for the classic living area as a basic or reading light.

For individual brightness control, a dimmer is located on the transparent feeder cable. It also serves as an on-and-off switch.
