Foscarini Spokes 2 - LED pendant light with a multi-spoke design García and Cumini were inspired by the spokes of a wheel and created the design for the Spokes LED pendant light for the world-renowned lighting manufacturer Foscarini in 2015. The voluminous, lantern-like body of the light is created by numerous round steel tubes that come together at a single point at the top and bottom, giving the light an extremely dynamic effect. The struts are painted with epoxy powder, giving them a matt surface. Spokes 2 directs a bundled light beam directly downwards and, thanks to an upward-facing LED light source, also illuminates the Innes of the lampshade, creating an outstanding cage effect. The cable for supplying power to the Dali dimmable LEDs has been invisibly integrated into one of the steel struts and is therefore invisible to the observer. A little trick that emphasises the professionalism and attention to detail that Foscarini is known for in all its other products. Spokes 2 almost seems to float in the centre of the room, the stainless steel suspension is so thin that it distracts as little as possible from the light itself. The Spokes family of lights is an architectural Meisterwerke from the Italian Studio García Cumini, which combines the interdisciplinary skills of two designers to create unique design objects.
