LED pendant lamp Tartan made of blown glass, externally dimmableThe LED pendant lamp Tartan was made of blown glass and has lines, indentations and folds on the top that give it a special look. A special manufacturing technique was used to create the effect of tartan, the distinctive pattern of Scottish kilts. The horizontal and vertical lines also ensure that beautiful light and shadow effects are created in the living space.For manufacturing, the hanging lamp is blown into a special mold with tartan pattern. In addition, the surface of the shade was treated with acid, which gives it an almost fabric-like appearance. At the bottom, the shade is open, so that the warm light is radiated directly towards the floor. Due to the matte diffuser, the light is also radiated to the sides and upwards in a subdued manner. Tartan is therefore particularly suitable for lighting a living room or dining room table. With an external dimming system (On-Off/Push/DALI), the brightness can also be regulated.Designers Ludovica and Roberto Palomba founded their own studio in Milan in 1994 and work in the fields of architecture, product and interior design, among others. They design products that enter into a dialogue with the owner and convince with their durability. For the Tartan pendant lamp, they experimented with the different design possibilities of hand-blown glass. The designers have already designed numerous products for the Italian lighting manufacturer Foscarini and have won major awards.
