To bring it into shape, a narrow ribbon was wrapped by hand around a rotating cylinder, creating an artistic weave. Individual ribbons that run diagonally from top to bottom break through the basic structure, creating light apertures of varying sizes. The bulb holder is attached to the top of the lampshade and emits light upwards and to the floor, creating a particularly beautiful play of light and shadow on the wall. In addition, the light is radiated into the room through the interstices of the wickerwork. The wall lamp can be used flexibly in the living area and, for example, in the hallway area, in the living room as well as in the bedroom.The lamp series Tress was conceived by designer Marc Sadler for the renowned Italian company Foscarini. He was inspired by the structure of a female braid. For his work, he often experiments with new materials and and production processes.
