This table lamp not only serves as a provider of highly atmospheric accent lighting, but also as an eye-catcher in any space. Cross-Plex™ features a square shade of opal white acrylic, perched on a tall cross of clear acrylic. The table lamp, which was already designed in 1961 by the Danish designer, architect and professor Bodil Kjær, has lost nothing of its minimalist beauty. The classic lamp still sets a trend in the lighting sector. The light skilfully highlights both the base and the shade. The result is an atmospheric additional lighting that is welcome in many rooms.

Bodil Kjær's path led her from her native Jutland to study in London, New York and Washington D.C. She worked with many well-known designers and also made a name for herself through her everlasting drive to set new standards. Her most famous design is the Cross-Plex™ table lamp, which represents minimalism at its best.

Cross-Plex™ is manufactured by FRITZ HANSEN, the traditional Danish company since 1872, which has stood for contemporary designs and the highest quality craftsmanship since its foundation. In 1979, Skandinavisk Holding took over 75% of the shares of the until then purely family-owned company and made the company future-proof through numerous innovations and collaborations with designers such as Verner Panton, Piero Lissoni, Cecilie Manz and Kasper Salto. In 2000, a new era was ushered in with the introduction of the "Republic of Fritz Hansen" concept. The message of this concept is that "furniture from 'Republic of Fritz Hansen' should be part of the image of companies and private households that want to express their individuality and achieve a very personal touch".
