Adjustable wall lamp Kaiser idell™ with plug and switch
If you are looking for an exquisitely designed and at the same time very practical light source, which can also be used in the entire living area in a versatile way, the wall lamp Kaiser idell™ in Bauhaus style is exactly the right thing for you. The wall lamp with the striking scissor arm is part of the legendary series of lamps by Christian Dell, which he created in 1931. Even after this long time, Bauhaus design in general and the Kaiser idell™ lamp series in particular have lost none of their appeal. On the contrary - comfortable lamps with exquisite design are increasingly becoming an expression of individual living culture. A special feature of this light series is also the worldwide patented swivel shade.
Christian Dell came from Offenbach and was a trained silversmith before studying under Henry van de Velde at the Saxon School of Applied Arts in Weimar. Later he was a teacher of industrial design and a master craftsman at the Bauhaus in Weimar.
The Kaiser idell™ lamp series is produced by FRITZ HANSEN in the usual high quality. The traditional company was founded by the carpenter Fritz Hansen after he received a trading license for Copenhagen in 1872. His cooperation with famous designers like Arne Jacobsen, Christian Dell and Hans J. Wegner as well as the high quality of craftsmanship made the company famous beyond the borders of Denmark. In 1979, 75% of the company, which had been family-run until then, was taken over by Skandinavisk Holding, which made FRITZ HANSEN fit for the future with innovative designers such as Verner Panton as well as extensive investments.
