Aesthetically designed Suspence™ pendant lamp - Design: GamFratesi
In 2013, the design duo GamFratesi - consisting of the Danish architect Stine Gam as well as the Italian architect Enrico Fratesi - created this decorative pendant lamp for the renowned company FRITZ HANSEN from Denmark, which has stood for high-quality design products in the furniture and lighting sector for almost 150 years. Many famous designers, among them GamFratesi, Arne Jacobsen, Cecilie Manz, Bodil Kjær, Verner Panton, worked for the company FRITZ HANSEN in the course of many decades, which was family-owned for almost 100 years before it was taken over by the Skandinavisk Holding to 75% in 1979 and led into a successful future by numerous innovations and investments.
The shape of the Suspence™ aluminium shade is inspired by nature: GamFratesi took a drop of water floating in the air as their model and translated its movement into a physical form. The result is a pendant lamp with a soft, rounded shape that emits the light of the bulb used without glare through the integrated plastic diffuser. Suspence™ can be used for general or area lighting. For example, it provides cosy dining table lighting.
