Wood has a natural and warm effect and conveys a comfortable feeling of well-being. This applies to wooden furniture as well as to other wooden furnishings, but also to lamps such as the Quiescenta pendant lamp, whose shade is handmade from veneer strips of real oak wood. The light oak wood with its uniform grain is considered a classic in the home and fits many styles of living. The shade of Quiescenta is equipped with a transparent plexiglass corpus above the lamp on the inside. From the corpus, the wooden slats go away diagonally upwards and come back at the bottom of the corpus diagonally from below, forming the shape of a lying eight. The result is a completely glare-free light emission from inside the luminaire.

In addition, the pendant lamp Quiescenta is also particularly easy to clean: simply wipe with a slightly damp cloth. The wood is protected with a UV varnish against the effects of sunlight.

The lighting company Gofurnit, founded in 2019 by Manuel Döpper, is based in Cologne and attaches particular importance to ecologically conscious action in all areas - the selection of materials, manufacturing and distribution.
