Ceraunavolta - the name of the pendant light from Karman - produces the famous saying “Once upon a time” when written differently, i.e. “C’era una volta”. The light is reminiscent of the craftsmanship of past times, of the technique of glass blowing which was used in the production of Ceraunavolta. A crystal clear tear drop-like lampshade is the result of the tradition-steeped process of glass production.

The light bulb is not directly visible, even though the lampshade is clear and is only furnished with linear grooves which do not impair your view. For reasons of glare protection and a better light distribution, however, a small, satin-finished glass cylinder has been put over the light bulb.

The lights of the Italian designer lighting manufacturer Karman are all made locally in Italy - by hand. This means that, on the one hand, old craft techniques are passed on and, on the other hand, charming individual pieces are created which display their unique character.
