Big Battery as a designer lamp combines modern and classic elements in its design. Classic is the form, consisting of base and shade. Modern is the implementation of this form, namely the table lamp completely made of plastic.
Big Battery was designed by the Italian designer Ferruccio Laviani, who has already created many successful designs for Kartell as well as for other well-known furniture and lighting manufacturers. Laviani studied at Milan Polytechnic and was a student of Achille Castiglioni and Marco Zanuso, among others.
Kartell is a Milan-based furniture and lighting manufacturer that uses only plastic as a material. Renowned designers create utility items, furniture and lighting for Kartell.
