The AJ table lamp delights people with its clear, completely timeless design that blends into a number of living styles. The AJ table lamp was originally designed for the SAS Royal (Radisson) Hotel in Copenhagen in 1957. The designer, journalist, architect, author and critic Arne Jacobsen was commissioned with the overall design of the hotel and also designed some of the elements of the interior. Some of the furniture and lighting series have become classics of interior design.

With its combination of purism and functionalism, AJ is a prime example of the concept of the Danish manufacturer Louis Poulsen, a lighting company that was founded in 1874 and is known for the simple and attractive design of its products.
