Organic-looking Panthella designer floor lamp

The Panthella floor lamp was designed back in 1971 by Verner Panton and remains a very popular light source. The focus here is not just on creating atmospheric lighting for the home; but also on the unusual appearance for a furnishing element.

The hemispherical lampshade is made from opal white acrylic in an injection-moulding process. It directs the light downwards, with the material ensuring that the majority of the light is scattered around the room by the surface of the lampshade. The result is a very atmospheric ambience. The base and housing are made of ABS plastic and are also manufactured using the injection-moulding technique.
