The built-in LED light source emits warm white and impresses with good color rendering. It consists of a custom-made mineral lens and provides uniform and glare-free lighting. The light intensity can be regulated via an external phase dimmer and thus adapted to any situation. An additional highlight of the luminaire is the sound-absorbing shade made of felt (60% recycled), which on the one hand has a decorative function and on the other hand provides increased acoustic comfort in the environment by reducing the reverberation time of the sound. The Koinè pendant lamp was designed and conceived by the creative minds of Studio Mandalaki, founded in 2012 by Enrico De Lotto, George Kolliopoulos and Giovanni Senin. Studio Mandalaki is a product and consulting company based in Milan. It explores the interface between design and technology, with the aim of creating unique and high-quality products. For the Italian lighting manufacturer Luceplan they designed the Koinè collection, which captivates with its simple but stylish and elegant design and convinces not only as a source of light, but also as a design object and furnishing piece to enrich the prevailing style of living with a glamorous touch.
