LZF Lola tripod floor lamp, black/ivory

Tripod floor lamp with wood veneer shade Lola was designed by Ray Power and shows the designer's ability to create imaginative three-dimensional forms. Lola is a conical lamp with an intricate geometric pattern. The shape of Lola was a real labour of love as it went through many iterations, drawings and prototypes before arriving at its final form. Lola, a particularly piquant Spanish name, is very lively, sensual and fascinating. The avant-garde Lola luminaire is characterised by a complex construction of woven veneer that shows off wonderfully in the light. The filigree shade and the geometric base of the Lola floor lamp create a light that is both striking and calm. The Irish-born designer Ray Power has been working with LZF Lamps since 1998. With his inventive approach to lighting design, he has designed many of LZF's best-known luminaires. His Air (2008), Link (2007) and New Wave (2015) luminaires for LZF have each won Red Dot Design, Chicago Good Design and Chicago Green Good Design awards. Most recently, his Swirl pendant luminaire was awarded a special mention by the German Design Council in 2017. Power's trademark is a geometry-based style, and he has an innate inclination to create moving three-dimensional forms with flat materials.
