Stylish lighting with an award-winning design - Nur pendant light

An elegant and stylish exterior, paired with a sophisticated lighting solution - the Nur hanging lamp never fails to impress. The dome-shaped lampshade is made of fine aluminium and is perfect area lighting, e.g. large dining tables. At the same time, the light also shines upwards - creating an indirect light source for additional accents, which create a convivial atmosphere. The design is rounded off by a wafer-thin suspension that creates the impression that the heavy dome of light floats in space by itself.

The design of the Nur hanging light comes from the founder of the Artemide Group: Ernesto Gismondi. He only came to design after making a slight detour: he began his professional career in 1950 in Italy with a degree in aerospace engineering, where he discovered his interest in special materials. Since the beginning of the 1960s, he has planned and produced lighting solutions and, together with Sergio Mazza, founded the studio Artemide S.a.s., which later became the Artemide group. In 2004, he received the Red Dot Design Award for the Nur light.
