The housing of the LED unit, like the canopy, is made of polished aluminum. Suspension is by means of slender steel cables, the length of which can be adjusted during installation. The glass shade is suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher; it can be removed and attached without tools thanks to a bayonet catch. The LED unit can be replaced if defective or at the end of its service life.The Curling luminaire series is a design by Jean-Marc da Costa and Manfred Wolf, who founded serien.lighting together in 1985.
