The Clizia Pixel hanging lamp looks enchanting even when it is turned off. The lampshade with a lightweight and buoyant design features decoration that is borrowed from the digitised world: it has pixels – little dots from the computer world that relate to the individual colour values of a raster graphic image – all over it. The decoration is interspersed with white, which should avoid any glare. The bright red power cable contributes to a very modern, cheerful overall effect.

Clizia Pixel is a design by Adriano Rachele, a young Italian designer who has been working in the Research and Development Department at Slamp, the world-renowned manufacturer of designer lights, since 2007. With his designs, which attract attention due to their soft, curved shapes, he gives items produced in series production the look of individual pieces. Adriano Rachele received the Red Dot Design Award for the design of the Veli light in 2012.

The Italian lighting company Slamp was founded in 1994 by Roberto Ziliani.
