Excellence in functionality and design
The Tolomeo table lamp from Artemide has been a design classic since 1987. Over the years, the elegant lamp with the movable joints and the outstanding head has fascinated the masses. It can be found on countless desks and is now an indispensable part of work life. It was precisely this need, owning a perfect desk lamp, which motivated the architect and designer Michele De Lucchi to design it in the eighties. The result - in collaboration with the architect Giancarlo Fassina - was a timeless desk lamp that has lost none of its contemporary feeling over the decades.
In a normal position, the Tolomeo table lamp has a height of 64.5 cm and a depth of 78 cm. The flexible and movable joints allow the head and the individual arms to be adjusted individually. This permits perfect and targeted lighting whilst the sophisticated spring balance system of the joints ensures stability, no matter what position the light is in.
