Utzon pendant light - design classic from 1947 now as an Anniversary Edition in steel blue The small pendant light, named after its creator Jørn Utzon, does not reveal at first glance how much tradition and history it contains. The light, which consists of several painted steel shades, was designed by Utzon back in 1947. He was inspired by the ship drawings of his father, a yacht designer. Throughout his life, Utzon remained fascinated by ships and light. In the 1950s, Utzon became famous for the Sydney Opera House, which he designed. in 2003, he received the Pritzker Prize for his life's work. &Tradition, the manufacturer of the Utzon pendant light, is a Danish company that primarily produces and sells design classics, but also contemporary, timeless products.
